Rumpel created the topic: "Fields"-field in the module should accept HTML
By default, Joomla filters all HTML-tags from text input fields. To disable this behavior for a certain field, you can add the attribute
filter="safehtml"
to the corresponding field in the module description XML-file.

Suggestion
Add the above mentioned attribute to the field with the label "MOD_SIMPLECALENDAR_FIELDS" in the module description XML (modules/mod_simplecalender/mod_simplecalender.xml).
This prevents the filtering of HTML code and allows to customize the output of the module to a much higher degree (inserting line-breaks, span/div with a specific class-attribute, etc.).
By adding this attribute to the default XML-file there is no need for editing the template files and updating the module/component would be much less risky.

My input (after adding the mentioned attribute to the XML) is:
<span class="date">{START_DATE}</span> <span class="stime">{START_TIME}</span> <span class="etime">{END_TIME}</span><br /><span class="title">{NAME}</span><span class="place">{VENUE}</span>
The individual elements are styled using CSS.

Other users seem to have similar problems (first part).

Further Suggestion:
If you fulfill the suggestion above, it could be necessary to change the type of the field from "text" to "textarea". The textfield is quite small
