SimplePayPal is the first of my modules to be available for Joomla 1.7+. Please head over to the forum: http://software.albonico.ch/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1553 to read all about it and download it for your testing. It might also work on J1.6, but I haven't tested.

Other components will follow as I dig into the new features of J1.7+. I'm happy to report that SimpleCalendar is 80% migrated and will be available, I hope, in early 2012.

I have tweaked  the forum a little bit in order to prevent a renewed flooding of spam (last time, we had about 10 posts of spam for every useful post - despite having tried numerous spam prevention techniques, none of which proved successful). This is (probably) my last try at it, if it works - which I hope - it should last, if it doesn't I won't try again and will close the forum, or find alternatives like paid subscription. If there's someone among you that has knowledge of PHPBB and spam prevention, I'd like to hear from him/her, I'm also actively looking for a volunteer moderator that can disable posts or accounts if I'm not around, which will be the case quite often in the next few weeks due to work commitments.

In order to tidy things up, I had to manually delete some accounts that sounded suspicious to me. I apologize if among them there were legit users - please re-subscribe to the forum in case I inadvertedly deleted or disabled your account, or contact me via the contact form.

On happier notes, I released 0.8.13b for Joomla 1.5 and definitely started working towards 1.6/1.7 compatibility. Please don't expect anything soon, but it's just to let you know that it will be available sometimes in the not-so-far-away future... :)
