Hi to all, I announce the availability of a new version of SimpleCalendar, called 0.8.5b 0.8.6b (see below for edit). This version corrects a great number of bugs (thanks to all that helped to track them down) and adds exciting new features that make SC even more suitable to a broad variety of purposes.

First of all, it is now possible to have two custom fields with custom labels: these fields are designed to be useful wherever the standard fields give too little information. They both can carry 255 chars and the label can be up to 64 chars long (although the shorter, the better). Secondly, I added provisional support for the excellent Attachment Component by Jonathan Cameron. The plugin (available only in the forum for the time being, as it is still at an early stage of development) enables you to attach as many files to every SimpleCalendar event, update, remove, rename, etc. The Attachment component offers a great deal of customizations that should fit every necessity. As a consequence, the built-in attachment support has been removed: it is no longer possible to attach a file to SimpleCalendar the old-fashioned way. Existing attachment can still be downloaded and removed: be advised that this will also be removed in one of the next versions of SC. Last but not least, thanks to the help of the forum community, I should (I stress "should") have resolved the issues involving SimpleCalendar and Yoothemes. I have no means for testing it, but rely on you to report that the issues are solved.
